Not spoke to him but he told me the otherday he was going to Silverstone with a mate who owns them both. Silverstone has a new layout and he's coming out of retirement one last time for motogp in June, so he wanted to get to know the track. Hopefully he doesn't crash when he races as his should his fucked, not long had a big operation on it!

Carl, whats he going to race in though? Thought he was a 250cc rider?

Moto2? has he got a custom bike though?

Was looking at the new Silverstone layout on TV the other day. I like it. Small improvements. New start/fin straight and pit complex should be good.

Not sure if squaring off the exit of Club is a good thing though, as watching the cars/bike powerslide out was always good.

Not quite! There is a 250 national championship race as a support race so he is going to race in that as a one off, most probably his last outing.

Thats fine, thats perfect. Some race fairings and it looks good to go. Ohlins rears.

Wouldn't be for road use. Thats a 250cc twin, its designed for the track and shouldn't be anywhere else

Less spec brakes that I thought with those Nissin calipers.

No doubt it would leave many 600's standing though. I love the ol twins

Those Nissin's are upto much more than you think!

I want that bike too! Having a 'mare with my RS250 track bike at the moment. Gonna burn the bastarding thing! I'm starting to realise road based 250 2 strokes aren't really meant to be used as track weapons. Proper 2 stroke racers are where its at!

Hope your brother does well. Should be a decent sized grid. I'm not going this year to watch the race as i'll be at Rockingham on a trackday, no doubt setting fire to my RS

Qualified on pole, Winning upto the 4th lap, having a bit of a battle and pushed it too hard, 140mph too hard, came off at Maggots full knacker in top gear, biggest crash he's had, luckily he came out unscathed! Bike's fucked though as are the brand new leathers!

after!

Apparently he needs;

wheels, yokes, tank, radiator, forks, end cans, sub frame, rev counter, frame needs jigging and welding, 2000 kit wiring loom,steering damper,and thats before we take it to bits....

It's not his bike so don't know if it will ever get fixed or what, depends on the owner.
