my ds2500's dont squeal, I greased the back of the pad and also on the carrier where they slide and the piston face

depends on the pads sometimes, my mintex 1144's squeal quite bad

Yep the mintex pads are really bad for noise but then that's why they are half the price of the ferrodo's would take em out though and slap some more copper grease on though

the squealing doesnt mean they are bad pads, the squealing is because they are operating outside there optimum temperature, when you get them warmed up they dont squeak.
youl find pads on race cars rubbish and noisy at low temperature too

ouch dude, mine are still squeaking, seems to be the opposite to what steve says though, they are fine for like 5 miles then when i use them a bit they squak , i did reapply copper grease on the backs after this thread and also checked there was no brake dust or anything and cleaned them all up, only does it on one side, just going to put up with it, they work brilliantly except for the noise.

I got a noise cancelation device from an apache helicopter, worked really well was only £15k as well.

If you do some really big stops and get them mega hot it will stop them squeaking for a bit. Bit extreme but my 1144s were very noisy till i did 2 laps of the nurburgring.
