hello i brought a corsa b 1.2 16v for £200 the thing is its been stood still for i think 2 years, engine had seized but now is turning over agen it had a 5ers worth of petrol in there and i was useing that to try and start her, she wants to go but wont go just cuts out, ive use ma head and brought some fresh petrol to mix in with the old, ive cleaned the spark plugs and coil pack, and now im at the stage where she turns over wants to start wants to go but fails to fully start

Undo the airbox and spray some brake cleaner into the inlet whilst someone is turning it over

fuel filter....
is the fuel pump ok
is it getting fuel
fit new plugs (cheap as chips)


basically give it a damn good service

If the engine had seized though, it wont just fix itself

brake cleaner into the inlet whilst someone is turning it over? that safe m8?
fuel is gettin to it i have to keep taking the coil pack and plug out to clean keeep flooding it

Carb cleaner would probably do the same job.

Are you sure its not the headgasket, sounds like the bores could be filling with water if it was 'seized' and now magically turns.

no headgasket hasent gone check that loads of times, i had to get a lorry battre and a battre from a running car on plugs to do it, did take bit of a long time but she turnd over in the end, shes been stud still for bout 2 years, im thinkin its the immobiliser, but the chip is in the key etc weard
