My dad had an L reg 1.4 - sold it with 120k miles, was on original gasket.
Current on is on 80k
sister got one now too - 50k miles - not a sign on gasket going, 03 plate.

i highly doubt the entire rover used car market revolves about what is posted on a few internet forums,

they are cheap because the majority do have reliability issues, and because the people who make the cars have gone bust

I just remembered something else about my mate's old one, the heater adjustment dials fell off and you couldn't put them back on again so the fans were stuck on full heat and you couldn't turn them off

i taxi hit r lasses mg zr 1.4 16v 53 plate and the insurance company gave us just short of £2500 and we only paid 1750 lol

120 model is quite nippy as well
