trust me a good midly tuned let will destroy scoobys and all that, mine has proven it many times with ease, traction is the issue but good tyres will take care of that,

nothing better than seeing the look on there faces when i corsa comes past at 160mph lol

Fuk regal, pay me and for what they would charge i could more than likely put forged rods n pistons on a rebuilt motor. They charge a fortune! Lol.

if ya goin go let and traction bothers you spend ya hard earned pennies on a good diff tyres and suspension, the difrence in standard setup asto a trick diff n tyres is an advantage on its own, then start adding goodies to ya engine and gaining power, way beter than goin the other road and not being able to get your power down m8

mine was a 315 bhp let corsa with standard 1.0 suspension, just lowering springs on the front every1 told me i wuld need to splash out on expensive shocks and springs but i didnt see the point? if i wanted a car that handled id buy a 106 ect sraight line speed was enuff for me! i got the power down and it was nice to drive as it didnt have really hard suspension, depends what your after

what mods you done to get it to 315? is that wheel hp? its not about the handling factor its more to do with the fact that the waight your adding to your car is going to put a strain on your standard components not performing as they should so uprating them is defo a must with suspension and brakes, have you ever drove a let on coilovers with a quife diff? the difrence to a standard one is just uncompareable m8

Mine loses traction in lower gears sometimes on overboost, just depends on the roads condition. Changing up a gear early can solve that though. Pulls around corners well enough and puts the power down OK I guess, no worse than what you'd expect from a 1000kg FWD car with over 250bhp.

Mine is on Bilstein B12 suspension with the larger pistons/correct springs and a Quaife diff.

i bought the engine as it was, it was originally in a womans show cav the guy that broke the cav didnt know much about the engine apart from the reciepts he had.
from the outside it had a weber fbr and some braided fuel hosing, reciepts for chemically cleaned injectors, a forge actuator, baileys dv. 3 inch tophat, and 3inch pipework,
turbo was standard didnt have a single bit of smoke or oil come from it.
got it rolling roaded. it made 315 bhp and 340 torque

I used an F20 gearbox
corsa gsi shafts,
cav 2.0 brakes with standard corsa 1.0 servo
standard 1.0 corsa suspension with just the front lowerd 40mm to keep the back up higher.
compo mo 15s
195/45/15 nankang tyres on the rear
205/50/15 pirelli tyres on the front
drove the car for around 2 or 3 months yes it did spin the wheels up in 2,3,4th gear but on a nice dry sunny day you could get some nice grip,
If you teach your self to how your car performs you can feather the throttle instead off flooring it in every gear.

theres a thread on the vxr8 forum off some older guys getting shitty over it, the thread said something like. took my 20k VXR8 out for a spin this afternoon when a faded red vauxhall corsa came tearing past me i tried catching up but i just couldn't. i wrote on there about the car that beat it was my little corsa, and wrote down everything that was done. know1 belived me or the guy that i had a mess about with due to the fact my car was running everything standard apart from a 2.0 engine with a turbo
