My plate is on retention and Im looking into selling it soon. Can only really think of eBay to advertise but think it'll make a great plate for someone called Laura. The plate is actually R12 URA but when spaced looks well IMO:

Gota be worth a few hundred quid. What you reckon?

You probably won't get it, has to be spaced illegally to "spell" laura and even then that's not great.

Too many letters to be expensive absolute max will be £250

How is it nothing like Laura? Ok the 2 doesn't realyl fit but how many private plates have people got because it looks close enough? Every other letter/number (bar the R) fits.

It's got some of the same letters as Laura, that's it, it's not close enough to be worth anything.

Sadly, with the way things are with legal spacing etc these days, not many people will want to take the risk of having to space it like that.Plus,it looks shite spaced like that.

Id snap that offer of 150 up.

It was valued at £350.
As long as my £105 retention fee is covered, I'm happy

Try finding a Roger Rura or Irura and you will be sorted, but as said about £250 imo and I have sold a few reg marks.

fair play to you. I'll head over to Lithuania or Romania then and seek them out. As I said it owes me £105 so £250 will do me nicely.

If it's an online valuation of your plate it'll be nothing like it's actual value. They give out high figures in the hope you'll put the plate on with them.

You can't, it just means they'll stick it on the site for £350.

I'm sure they'd happily buy stuff that they know would sell for a premium though.
