It's not really 10-20% though is it?
I'll struggle to spend more than £2 on a sandwich in Tesco but can't get anything for less than £3.20 in M&S

Waitrose isnt so bad IMHO, you get M&S quality without having to hang out with the topshop suit wearing, Iphone touting cunts that shop in M&S.

Couple of years ago, I had a mars bar from 2002. (As a bet). It was fine, but the bit under the toffee looked rather minging.

If it's been frozen I'd eat it. Left in the warm or even fridge no chance

I'll be the judge of whether some food has gone off, not something printed on a label. Also, a lot of confectionery will have a best before and not a use-by date on them. Also a Marks and Spencer sandwich gave me food poisoning once and the thought of eating any of their food again makes me want to sick in my mouth

McDonalds gerkins always used to have the same effect on me.

Don't think I've had a burger from there since I was about 8 as the thought turns my stomach

Tesco's slogan should be "unexpected item in bagging area"

tbh Tesco's has gone down hill a bit.

But most pre-packed foods that you talk about isn't actually made in a Tesco factory.

Lecturer at Uni visiting a Robinsons fruit squash factory. On the packaging line was Sainsburys own brand squash. It actually has higher fruit content than the Robinsons. Lecturer asked if Robinsons were bothered by this and they basically said although our direct market share might drop, we are still manufacturing and selling the same amount.

I'm a Sainsburys shopper. We have that or Asda. And their pricing policy annoys me.

All supermarkets have their faults and perks. That's life.

Don't know if anyone has had the pleasure of shopping at Morrisons, but their staff are always grumpy and miserable... depressing shopping in an environment like that.

Tesco cafe's are the worst. Imagine Tesco's cheapest own brand food, then worse still. Mainly because it's run my Sodexo.

Sainsbury's use their own food. Breakfasts are mint.

At least Morrisons have staff to fill the shelves

I dont shop at Sainsburys because I think they are expensive and no better quality than the other big 3, so cant compare. Tesco is constantly trying to cut costs so they are not replacing leaving staff, or they werent last year when I still worked there. Morrisons on the other hand have staff everywhere, I can find what I want and the ones round here have well sized aisles so you can get round the fatties that go to the supermarket to talk their life away while standing in everyones way
