Mate came off his bike this morning. He got away with torn tendons in his ankle but the bike came off worse. Will be back on the road soon but still not nice.

WHo says bikes are dangerous..

Nose cone is wrecked, tail unit needs painted, exhausts are bent, peg has bent the lugs on the frame, headlight brackets are cracked.

Its all pretty much cosmetic so could have been much worse. Its getting a full respray to make it spotless again so should be back better than before.

Exhaust bent? is it not up under the seat? is the rear part of the frame okay?

I'd be inconsoleable if I had a 748 and broke it! At least he's not too badly hurt though!

Bikes are only as dangerous as the biker riding it, or the twat who doesn't see you.

Shame that, but its repairable. Worst case, fibre glass fairings, go track daying on it.

Torn tendon though, owchy, but could be MUCH worse. Whenever I fall off I always just count my chicked that im still alive

Fair enough; my Dad put his 748 into a field; realised he wasnt going to make the second apex of a double right hander; off to the left was a big field/verge/run off so he sat it up thinking the worst that would happen would be he'd drop it in the field but 3ft into the field was a 3ft deep drainage ditch; he shortened the wheelbase by 8/9"; snapped the yoke and shattered his wrists in the process

Speed doesn't hurt, its coming to a sudden stop that does the damage
