I'd move the car somewhere that is technically off the road, refit the clamp then make a complaint.

I Saw two cars being clamped today! Both for sale, parked on the grass near a garage that is selling them!

Isnt there something with clamping where your paying them to remove the clamp, so if you can take the clamp off without damaging it you dont have to pay?
Also, phone them about the damage to the car and kick off!

Remove ot without damaging it, which you can legaly do, then hand it in at your police station as lost property.
Then move the car off the road proper or tax it
