I fitted a K&N one on my 1.2 16v it is quite nice.
I am going to try a PVD BFO though.
As for anything else to do after fitting it, just disconnect your battery for a couple of hours and then start the engine and don't rev it at all for a few minutes. (resets the ECU)

if you want the best performace belive it or not, is your standard airbox with drilled holes and a performance panel filter wierd aint it?

is that true for all engines, or just if it's say 1.0/1.2 ? ?
Or if you have a larger engine, is it then better to have a cone ?

Also you don't need to disconnect egine! that is bollox, the ecu will update itself automatically as you drive.

ALL induction kits are CRAP on corsa engines. Far too much heat to make it worthwhile. Best way to get power gains through the inlet mnifold system is to change it for an aftermarket system from Velos/Lexmaul/Mantzel. Then drill airbox and fit a K&N panel filter. Sounds great and half decent performance gains expected when coupled with good exhaust system. Can a mod PLEASE make this topic sticky, its a pain in the arse writing this out everyweek to help corsa owners!

This can take several miles though. To get an instant ECU update, unplug it and leave it overnight, then in the morning plug it back in, and it will have to re-calibrate itself but DONT push the throttle when it sounds like its stalling. It will now be programmed to mix the perfect ratio of air/fuel.

its true for all engine I suppose
Basicly if you want the noise and a few BHP the cone filter
More pefformance drilled air box+ perfomance panel filter K&N
hard choice innit i really like the noise and induction kit makes

I would be tempted to say a pod filter would have the edge if it was adequately shielded and had 2 or 3 cold air feeds.
Its simply got a bigger surface area than a panel filter.
