If i purchase a RHD car thats on Europeaon (French to be precise) plates, how can i register it in this country to have a proper UK number plate? If at all?

The car is in the UK and so far as im aware not an Import....

Costly? Possible?

Any gen?

My dad once imported a brand new RHD car from Denmark and got it on english plates so I know its possible

It's possible, I think there's some info on that dsa website I read not so long ago

DVLA office should be able to re-register it, no different to doing it for an import though afaik, you'll have it as 'registered for use overseas' on the v5

its a UK spec vehicle which i think was originally registered here when it was new (1997)

So just an SVA test and decalring it to DVLA, £300??

That says special vehicles?!

Document fees are £35 according to some forum at the dvla and its very easy, just can get hairy about VAT?!

Best advice, ring the DVLA if your unsure about anything, sometimes they can be helpful. Note the word sometimes though!
