Just phoned up a few places for some rear brake shoes and rear bearings for my corsa and prices come back at one place for £49 and the other £78 :O

surely that aint right?

just been to a local place and got

bearings
brake shoes
spark plugs

for £36.bargain so i thought....then checked my bank and they've put the card payment through twice

I don't think genuine parts on cheaper cars really makes the difference.

i'd only buy VW stuff for my VW, but the ford will handle cheapo tat, tbh they haven't built it very well to begin with, pretty rough in parts

id never by third party bits for any part that is replenishable and load bearing

even on small fords stuff like this never lasts long, bearings lasting weeks, balljoints lasting a few months etc etc

there was a pattern lower arm on my puma replaced 8 months ago, the ball joint was loose as fuck and split when i replaced it, on the contrary an original on the other side that was still the original fitted from factory was fine
