I'm in the middle of a gearbox change on a Vectra b and struggling to get the clutch fluid line back on.
Any tips?
I've tried putting the fitting on then sliding the metal clip through which didn't work,
I also tried fitting the clip before hand and tapping the fitting on hoping the clip would expand and lock on. I managed to break the retaining clip and will have to buy a new one doing it this way though.

i put the clip in first then put the whole lot as one onto the box

I tried it that way but the clip wouldn't slide over the ridge.
Did yours go on quite easy or did it need a bit of force?

bit of force to open the clip, just pushed down on it with the palm of my hand

Lucky you, I broke 2 retaining clips trying to push it on by hand. Have to try again when I've got new clips from Vauxhall.
