What insurance do they use? Ive rented a car from Europa for a week and when ive just been on the MID website its telling me its not insured? They told me that it included insurance etc etc in the price?
any help would be good

Obviously it's insured them websites are useless most of the time anyway, we have hire cars at work but not sure what insurance company we use, I could ask tomorrow.

Thats what i thought i just thort id check and thort fook i dont want to get stoppd for being un insured and have the car seized

It'll be on a trade type policy that covers all their vehicles so they probably won't show up on the insurance database but if the police were to pull you, a quick phonecall would have it all cleared up

they deal with the insurance dont worry, as long as you defo asked for it ur fine

You dont need to ask them for insurance you have to sign the forms there and then, it's not optional

They also have the option of underwriting the risk themselves if they have sufficient assets to cover it, ie. they don't buy insurance because they've enough in the bank to pay out themselves.
Hence why when you crash them they're not recorded.

Also, I ment fully comp insurance is what you need to ask for, that way any dents etc dont effect you

Avid do this, we deal with their claims at my work and they pay us

A lot of big fleet management companies do it too.
