I work in the Civil Service, but my job title is 'Graduate Engineer'.

I found that Civil Servant reduced my premium by about £50 compared to Mechanical Engineer, so I used that instead, although both are technically correct anyway.

I also found that putting in my occupation as a student at uni was cheaper than both civil servant and mech eng.

They don't like bookmakers off or on course I know that much!!!!!

my insurance thinks im a doctor... my mate was getting insurance quotes with his occupation as a plasterer so he said he was a scientist and it went down a fair bit
