if you use wire strippers first, bare the insulation.
then use it.
also insulating the entire connection so it dont pop open and short. will be fine.

Never used them myself but there's 3 in my car from before I bought it that all seem fine 5 years on

would never use the things, hate them with a passion. for the amount of time it takes to put one on it only takes a couple of seconds longer to solder the connection, and a much better one it will be
