i've had to replace the oil pump on my xe,i've took everything off and the pump is free but there seems to be something still holding on!!!

the pump itself can be moved around but seems to be catching around the oil seal area,i've removed the oil seal but still no joy

ideas anyone????

no the actual housing is loose,its not stuck to the block,it feels like theres a curclip or something!

infront of the oil pump is a piece of metal hula hoop shaped. its most likely hitting that if u aint taken that off yet
