Got pulled on Saturday as the anpr flagged my car as being out of mot, by a month 
So, booked it in this morning and it's failed on front discs and pads.
BMW wanted 340 plus vat a disc and 95 plus vat for pads!
Different dealer still wanted 380 for the lot.
I've sorted pads but I'm struggling on discs. Who deals with Zimmerman in the uk?

Fuck that I almost fell off my chair when hi-spec wanted £120 for discs for mine
Makes that look cheap

Pads were at another branch, took ages to find discs as the genuine number wouldn't cross over to anything, had to take a punt at a set of 135i discs from one of our suppliers after looking at the sizes, luckily they are spot on!

I dont think the penilty is massive anyways! I dont think its standard procedure to seize your car unless the tires have cords showing or something stupid.
If mot was 100% about saftey, like it was orginally designed for, they would send you something in the post like they do with the tax, and then sting you big time!
