As Ikea don't offer delivery on a lot of their products, there seem to be a few sellers on ebay selling their items, obviouslywith the option to deliver.
For example this guy, this item costs 25p each in store, he sell's 10 for £8.95 and has sold 184. Thats £118 profit selling bags before charges so call it £100.

OR these fleese's, sell in store for £2, cheapest on ebay £3.60 + postage = £1.60 profit on each sold.

OK so its not mega money but i'd be happy with an extra £30-40 a week pocket money. You reckon its doable or would it mean selling a massive amount of items and therefore the effort outweighing the profit?

Is it really worth it though? As you said £30-40 a week but look at all the time involved, printing/writing the addresses, posting them (almost everyday), dealing with what can only be described as FUCKING IDIOTS, dealing with "lost" or returned items...

Thats the thing. Going off the examples above, I would have to sell 3 lots of bags and 12 fleese's a week to make £40 (before charges).
Can't see that many selling a week so would need more products but that wouldn't be a problem, there's plenty to choose from. Could have it so they get posted every 3-4 days which would mean only having to visit the post office twice a week and the mrs would wrap them up

Do it for a couple of weeks and see how it goes, if it's going how you want it to, then carry on with it.
Remember though, you're going to have to pay for:
Postage
Packaging
eBay Fee's
PayPal Fee's
And realistically a couple of extra quid a week on postage (Returned items).

eBay Weekends are mental, only sell 5-10 items a week in the weekdays. Weekends come and loads sell.

Sod that, lot of work for not a lot of money. Could earn that £30-£40 with a couple of hours overtime, less hassle too.

Put on all of your items you have for sale, "We only deliver on Mondays"
That way it's not that much work, to sit there packaging things up for an hour on Sunday night.

Ideal. If most of the sales are at the weekend people won't have to wait long for their items.

there is storage costs though, now i am not saying you'd pay in £££ for storage, but taking up half a spare bedroom, or a corner of the conservatory would drive me insane having boxes over the placed to hold the required stock!

You've obviously not seen my spare bedroom. Its been half full of boxes of 'junk' since we moved in last year

My flat has a pair of front wings in the living room + full vectra interior.
Bedroom has loads of anne summers stuff and random clothes.
Kitchen boxes of packing and 2 cylinder heads
Trailer is full of car bits
On way is 2 irmy back boxes and a vectra front bumper
