whats the differance between type 1 and type 2 mounts? just need to know as i have type 2 mounts and im getting a corsa shell with type 1. is it not possible to use the same mounts?

Nope. One is for 8v shells, the other is for 16v shells.

is the only differance the gearbox mount and the chassis mount that the rubber connects to? they just seam to be the noticeable differance

The engine mount is different on the later chassis.

but thats just a case of not using the additional chassis mount from the type 2 and just bolting the rubber to the chassis mount thats on the earlyer chassis

That 'additional bit' on the later shells is part of the rail.. You can't just unbolt it.

Also why ask a question and then dismiss all of the responses?
