Hey folks, I have the great honour of being best man for my friends wedding this coming weekend and im a bit stuck for a book to give them. They have stated:

"We have decided against making a gift list as we have most of the things we need in our home. It would end up being a list of dvds and wii games.

Instead we have chosen to do the following:

If you would like to give us a gift we would like a copy of your favourite book with a small inscription inside the cover to add to our wedding library."

SO, the only books I own are ones on photography/Formula 1 and my engineering books for uni which I dont think really suit

I know the bride and groom are mountain bike fanatics/animal lovers/amature photographers/film and game boffs.

My Mrs has suggested "Love Letters of Great Men" but im not entirely convinced the newly weds will like it.

Can anyone recommend any good reads for the topics mentioned above?

Get them a baby name book as a joke, and then a book called "Earth" It's fantastic.

It says to give them your favourite book, not theirs.

Pick something you like, not necessarily what they like.

I have no huge intererest in book reading tbh. The books I own are factual and informative and would probably never come off the shelf if I gave them a copy! I would rather get them something that is going to be of use/interest

Its a book my mum bought me when I first bought my DSLR and has been a very useful guide to helping me understand exposure etc. Its very simple and easy to follow with excelent tutorials for amatures

i think the point is to give them a book thats means something to you, not something that will get used by them.

give them an engineering book and write a nice description inside it

there not asking for something they want to read them selves
