FFS nearly every day on the news now all I hear about is bombs/suspect packages being found on planes.

Greece was the latest news story yesterday.

If we ever want to go abroad again for holidays or whatever we'll have to fucking sail to the countries instead at this rate!

Yes I read about that this morning, Hammer. A plane from London to Sydney.

Apparently people were calm, I would be shitting myself if I looked out the window at 35,000 feet or whatever and saw an engine literally breaking up and fire coming from it!

I was delayed at Manchester airport waiting to go to Egypt in September because of a 'suspicious package' we were delayed for atleast 5 hours for what turned out to be a bottle of flavoured water and a mobile phone charger

The bomb scare on the freight aircraft couldn't have been at a worse time. Literally the day after aviation bosses publicly rant about too much security then that happens.

I don't think their issue was with too much security more the way security was American led i.e. OTT, awkward and not neccessary.

Flying scares the crap out of me but you just have to forget about the crashing aspect and Get on with it! The first thing I think about when booking a holiday is crashing! I have nightmares for days before going away.

It's a shame because I bet they put a stop to mobile GSM and WiFi networks on planes now.

Would be all too easy (as shown) to use GSM or WiFi enabled bombs :-(

Means that we will be stuck with no internet on flights for a long old time still!
