my mate was cleaning his engine cover when he put the rubber gasket thing on wrong, then later on his engine management light came on and there was oil on parts of the engine smoking, he took it to a garage and they said its an oil leak and they need to replace the rubber gasket, dyou think this is causing the engine management light? It starts to grumble when hes driving and they said it could be in the coil cap but they will clean it all up for him and that should be the problem, thats all hes touched and then the problem began 5 mins after driving it, hes not got much mechanical knowledge and i am stuck too, cheers

Under the rocker cover mate
That thing, he removed it to clean rubbish out the rocker cover, put it back on wrong so they found oil pishing out! oil is in the coil pack and they said they would clean it up and hopefully that will be why the engine light is on after driving for ten minutes

if it was me i would get another new rockercover gasket and fit it properly and clean as much oil off as poss then go for a drive and see what happends as fitting the gasket wrong would cause oil to get to the plugs
