Hi guys,

I have some new wheels with quite large dishes, i'm getting the faces polished and what to do something a bit different and get the lips done like the picture below.

Can anyone who's more knowledgeable than me on this give me some info on how i could go about getting it done

Thanks

It's electroplated, but 'gone wrong'. A friend of mine had a prototype of something done once but the platers made a mistake and he ended up with a shadow chrome type effect which was fairly similar to do that.

A quick search about tells me that you achieve that effect from titanium plating that has been overheated. That makes sense as when you heat certain titanium alloys during welding you get a sort of rainbow around the joint.

The next problem is finding someone who can do it on purpose.
