i got a letter few weeks ago saying i was owed £500, 4 days later got the cheque through the cheque itself seems too take a little longer to process than most though :/ took a week for it to clear for me :/

i had a nice result, got a cheque off them for £1290. was a bum clenching moment opening it when i see who it was from

I don't understand how you guys didn't realise you'd over paid by over £500.. I'd easily of noticed, saying that i am on quite a pittiful wage ha.

I was emergancy Tax for 6mths. I left it as a little savings scheme

I got mine ages ago As soon as i got my P60 i sent a letter saying that i might be owed money as i was on emergency tax code/didnt work full year.

Got a cheque within 6 weeks of sending off a letter.

I had a letter saying i was owed some tax back....cheque was with me about 3-4 days later

How do tax people know where i live. I moved house about 8 months ago. Would it of been my job to notify them or would work of done it?

About 3 years ago I got a letter asking them for my p60's i had from my last job, sent them in and got most of the tax I payyed back (Due to been on a low wage, Was paying too much tax!) Then got one back of my current job 2 months after starting due to been on an emergency tax code.
