It has gone up Pow I'm paying circa £200 more than I would of done last year, it was even in the news that personal injury claims have pushed premiums up all round, I wouldn't quote 40% but it's deffo gone up.. Alot.

There are bound to be exceptions Pow but I know 7 people who have renewed recently and ALL of us have experienced a major hike in premiums.

Count yourself very lucky!

I back pow up that not everyone's has went up, certainly not 40% either, that would be a piss take.

I also know at least 2 others that it has came down for as usual, renewals letters were more expensive, as they are every year, that's not what it costs in the end though.

According to a couple of my mates last night insurance in going up next year by 50%... I was the first to call bullshit on that, imagine the 17 year olds who's quotes are like £3000 for their first car now, it'd put me straight off driving if insurance was going to cost around £4500!

I think 40% is well off, more like a 10-15% average. Most people seem to be getting the same as last year or slight increase. Mines gone up, but I expected it (regardless of other peoples prices), due to getting an amazing deal last year, more mods, more power and car now being kept in a 'band E' area (2nd worse band)

It's not always a good indication either, my current postcode is E or F, but if I only change postcode and nothing else to a B, which would in reality be classed as a better area, insurance doubles.

It has gone up in BB postcode due to the fact that Burnley - Nelson had the biggest claims of Cash for crashes and hence everyone in bb postcode has gone a considerable amount . Also known as Post code punishment .

up to 70% more so Bollocks im afraid not
