For about 20 years, but haven't played much recently.
I'm gonna buy a PA system and start doing shitty hotel bar jobs.

How about you?

My dad used to sell Tanglewood Guitars through eBay, the amount of refunds he had to give and broken guitars he had back from the couriers was silly!

Was always having them repaired, and these were ll £400+ guitars.

those hard cases are pretty hardy - they take one hell of a beating without damaging the instrument

my gibson lp hard case has been dropped many times, should be fine in the post if you go down the 2nd hand route

Not to put you off but... I bought a mint condition T.Bird fof eBay a few months back (still had much of the shrink wrapping and plastic bits across the pick guard etc still on it!) and came ina duperb case and th eguy had wrapped mountains of bubble wrap wroudn the outside.

However... he failed to even put a single bit of wrap around the guitar itself and it subseuqently found a nice rough edge inside the case and took a huge chunk out of itself in transit

Luckily the seller was not an arse and we dealt with it qucikly but the upshot was that i didnt wnt it as id paid a premium for a mint instrumkent and it turned up fucked.

MOTS - put at leats a signle wrap around the instrumet if not several bits and never underseimate how little care the couriers will pay to it (afterall, it sone of a muillion parcels to them)
