I want to buy an Opel Corsa B 1994 without any extras. It originally came with a petrol engine but the previos owner swaped the engine for an Isuzu 1.7 diesel engine. It has the f13 gearbox and shafts and also changed the front suspensions for the diesel engine. Will there be any problems in the future because the engine is not the original? What about the fuel economy for the Isuzu 1.7 turbo diesel engine? How much mpg does it get?
Thanks.

on this website they say that it will do 9l/100kms / 31mpg. I think that's terrible.

no that really isn't that great but i dont think it should be too bad.
you can also play about with boost and fueling on these engines to get a bit more power but this may just affect the fuel consumption even more.
