Right firstly I know this is in the wrong section but would like to know quite quickly.
My mate has just bought a GSi with the c16xe engine in, the brake servo pipe is loose or there is something wrong with it causing the engine management light to come on and make the car run quite shit and the brakes arent really upto scratch because of it.
As its so hard to come across parts for this engine, would it be safe to swap the cam cover from a x14xe to the c16xe so we can use the x14xe servo pipe?
As it will not fit onto the c16xe.

Should be ok, cam cover or upper inlet? Doesnt the brake servo pipe go into the upper inlet on the X14/X16?

Yeah I just realised its into the inlet, that means changing the upper and lower
Does anyone know the part number for the part?
Dont really want to change both inlets just to sort this pipe out!

buy a c16 pipe then, though they were the same though.

no the x16 bolts on the c16 is held in place by a rubber bung.
I cant find said pipe anywhere, and I dont know the part number.

Tigra is an X engine and need two swap the hole inlet system then gind some way of fitting the AFM

Jones in devizes has C16XE, and Rayners near Wooton bassett also has one
