How long until it expires? Why are SwiftCover telling me that it can't be more than 12 months old?
I got proof of NCB sent to me about 18 months ago which is the last time I insured my own car.

My motorbike one has been a joke. I asked about 4 times for the certificate to be sent out, and they never have done, not once! They constantly tell me they have send them but the blantley havent. Maybe it has something to do with the fact i dont wont to insure anything with them no more.....

I have it already, what I'm saying is why have SwiftCover said that the proof can be no more than 12 months old?

I'm going mad here. I could just ask Brentacre to send me a newer one I suppose.

thing is if you crashed in the last 12 months then that proof you had would be void, but you could still use it as insurance fraud

Swiftcover do seem to be a pain tbh, but i always thought it was 2 years although with somecompanies they will accept them regardless of howlong ago they were (thats what some results on google came up with the other week when i was looking)

Holy fucking horseshit. Thank god for this thread. I thought you could keep proof of no claims for a couple of years. Just gone running upstairs to dig out my paperwork. I have to find and insure a car by the 13th Jan then

Can you insure it somewhere for a month or two, cancel the policy then get a new proof of no claims sent to you?

I've never had a problem with using old stuff, currently got 7 each on two cars and 6 on a suspended policy and I've had gaps of well over a year in which I wasn't using all of it.
