Failed on a few bits, had worse.
1; nearside headlamp aim too high
2; offside headlamp aim too high (INCORRECT IMAGE)
3; nearside track rod end ball joint
4; offside track rod end ball joint...
5; nearside rear coil spring not correctly located
6; exhaust emissions :@:@:@:@:@
Dont understand number 5, if anybody could advise me that would be great.
Scan of the emissions reading, need help with this as well if possable.
Have put some redex in.

it should need putting back in place. there are locating lugs on the chassis and on the rear beam for it to sit in

might be able to pull the rearbeam down abit and it might give you enough slack to locate it

Try a new lambda sensor mate i know a few people that have done this and its passed. Also make sure its at running temp when u take it there. Hotter the cat the better i believe

some garages are a rip off...the garage that mot'd all my cars adjust the headlights during the mot free of charge.

- easy
3; nearside track rod end ball joint
4; offside track rod end ball joint...
- fairly easy but a bit of a pain in the ass if you're not used to doing them, and it'll need tracking once you've fitted them.
5; nearside rear coil spring not correctly located
- easy but it'll probably need jacking up. In fact being jacked up is probably what's caused it. Don't try spinning it while there's weight on it and don't poke your hands about in there unless you want to lose fingers.
6; exhaust emissions :@:@:@:@:@
- potentially a bit worse but might solve with super unleaded and a bit of a warm up before it's re-tested.

try putting some CAT cleaner through it and getting it really hot before retest if not id say it needs a new CAT

mine failed for emissions as well
super unleaded fuel for a week
cat cleaner for week
then bit of hard driving for week and really good run out before mot cleared it no probs

Got it through now, thanks.
Paid the garage an hour labor to sort headlamp beams and the spring (too low apparently, and popped out going over a bump too fast??)
Gave it a full service, injector cleaner etc, major thrash and passed emissions with super unleaded.

Garage I take mine to put it on the fail sheet with other things but I fixed other things and they adjusted it during the retest done it with a previous car too.

its all been covered but front bulbs will have been put in wrong, we get loads , people think because its lit its ok, alot of cars now you have to take bumper off and lights out to change so people bodge them in.
cat cleaner is good , if that dont work lambda then after that go cat.

not neccesarily, undo the locking nut, then undo the bottom nut on the track rod end, when you take it off count how many times you unwind it, then just pun new ones on the same amount.

some come bigger than others depending on the branding, you can get it something like but its always best to track when they have been replaced
