They seem expensive, and I'm sure I read somewhere that their stock gets dispatched from France or somewhere like that with Euro plugs on them too

They were ok for me, but i've heard horror stories since. And the stuff I had came with 2 pin Euro plugs, and an adapter.

Pixmania are actually owned by the same company that owns PC World BTW.

pixmania are owned by DSG, just remember they are a france based company so delivery and returns are a nightmare, and i know this from experience.

I used them for my Surround Sound, the remote broke after 3 uses, I couldn't be arsed returning it, would of had to book with DHL, a time etc... too much effort, can use my TV remote anyway
Was £70 cheaper than anywhere else I could find, delivery was fine though

For a hard drive or something I'd use them. If it breaks go into a british shop, buy a new one and return the old as broken
For something bigger I'd stick to a UK site.

Yeah I got a Samsung DVD player off them a couple of years ago, came with European plug so had to buy an adaptor which was unexpected. Apart from that it was all ok though.

I bought my D-SLR from there earlier this year, no problems at all. Same with my compact camera this time two years ago.

I bought my surround sound from them. Had it delivered with no issues. I knew it would have a European plug before I ordered it and it came with an adapter thatmakes it look no different to a standard UK plug.

From what I remember they are cheap but slow at shipping because they advertise stuff, take money for the sale, but only ship it from wherever it is once they have enough orders to fill a shipping container.
