Hi all, I've got an xbox 360, but I'm craving gt5 haha! Been looking at ps3s, but there's so many different ones lol, is it literally just the memory that u lose with lower models? I was told the 40gb doesn't have it, and is missing something else? Which would you recommend buying? Cheers Carl.

There is no difference between the consoles apart from the memory*. The slimmer ones supposedly do better with the heat, but i've had my old style for 3.5 years without it having a problem
*Obviously the chunky ones are older, the 60gb will play ps2 games.

Yeah, just the 60gb and they were the release models, so been around for a long time now. I've got a 40gb, and it does occasionally get filled with game data/saves, but if you're buying new the smallest now is 160gb I think(?) so shouldn't be a worry
PS3, and other consoles usually don't change much in price in the sales, it'll just be a load of shit games that get chucked in to make it look like you're getting a deal.

I got mine from Amazon it was about 15 quid cheaper than that.

They're £260 with gt5 in blockbuster , think I'll have to get one if I can bring myself to do it haha

you can change the hdd's yourself so dont be put off by the lower memory ones. cn get 500gb drive for £50

Got one from asda last night cause blockbuster sold out. Was £269 with gt5 . Was disapointed to see that you have to buy a HDMI cable seperate first though  lol.
And tbh I'm not exactly that impressed with gt5 lol, I honestly reckon forza 3 might top it! And I've got both lol

If you get one, get a slim - less likely to die apparently..
avoid the 40gb - apparently more prone to failure
