Being mobile I assumed it was the generic things they stick on that people usually pay £100 for.

there not generic they are custom to each car we do, so you can have it to be better on fuel or to increase the performance. to be honest at £200 its cheap as it is usually £250. Our local competitors charge from £265 upwards

So by custom, do you mean that each map is written individually for the vehicle? How do you do that for each vehicle? Is each map just tweaked on a laptop and then uploaded to the vehicle, or is the car live mapped as the owner is driving around with you in the passenger seat?

That seems a bit cheap.
I'd expect to pay 350-400 for a proper mapping session by someone who knows what they are doing.

We work as an agent for a big company where if you like we can arrange for you to go there and have your vehicle put on the rolling road and live mapped. We are mobile and the idea of this is to make it more convenient to the customer as we can travel to them. You may be able to go and get a map for £100 off your mate down the road but the quality wont be the same. It might make your car a little bit quicker but it will probably do some damage in the long term, or you could buy your own flasher unit off ebay for £35 and again do some damage. I know if i bought a car for £5000 i wouldnt being buying a mapping kit for £35 from china

I bought my car for £13.2k and bought a mapping kit from china.
So your mobile maps aren't custom?

ok not custom in the fact that it is written from scratch on every vehicle, but its unique to your vehicle and how you want it. we are just trying to offer a service if your not interested fair enough we are not on here to get involved in any bickering, and if you kit from china is working good then good for you mate

the same map is not used on more than one vehicle, as every person wants different things from it. it is as somebody said 'tweaked on a laptop', although its not that easy at all. and as for your previous post we can arrange for the live mapping to be done if need be

That's all bollocks, your £200 maps are just £100 maps that you stick £100 on top of.
Ebay flashers are also fine (99% of the time) depending on the maps you use, again the ones going around the internet are normally the ones the 'tuners' use anyway.
