As we all know the weather has been horrendous for us meaning the car hasnt been getting washed
finally got a chance to do it yesterday and discover that the paint on one of my alloys has bubbled and left me with a stupid looking strip down to the basecoat.
now this alloy was perfect car has only done 10k and there is no curbing or any other marks on it
so wtf has happened
I know snow, salt and -12 temps dont help but come on

Yup, will just have been kick started by a stone chip - wheels get chipped too.
Out of interest what car is it? Some manufacturers have shockingly finished wheels from factory!
Was cleaning a clients brand new Merc ML yesterday - it's done 750 miles. I haven't been able to clean it since he's bought it due to the weather - they're already severely pitted in places. Wheel bolts and hubs are going rusty too

Would of been a stonechip or the wheel was damaged when the car was delivered and a quick repair has been done

Worth a bash, but then stipulate it's done by a proper company, not a man in a van wheel refurb company!
