Me and a mate nipped to tescos in his car and we got out walked into tescos while his car was still running on turbo timer and a bloke just stood staring as we walked off, next minute someone had reported it and it they were asking over the tannoy for the owner (my mate) to go out because hes left his engine running .

Aren't turbo timers illegal in this country? As its illegal for the engine to be running with no one by the car?

Yes i thought that after, but it was the manor/body language he used to say it. He got quiet close to my face Its not like he said ' hello mate, is that megane yours? I dont know how much you know about them but......'
But the thing is. He must have seen me come into the car park, for him not to know i didnt sit there for '30secs', so he should of known it was stop start traffic into the spot so no boost abuse in the slightest. I dont think i heard it spool all day, been in a very steady mood

I leave mine at least 10 mins after a rag if I can, it wont do any harm! I usually just poodle home for the last couple of miles then turnit off after about 10 secs

I would have thought having a device that sounds like it essentially quenches the turbo after a run would be quite bad for it. How can that be better than just letting it cool in the air?
