going to view a couple tomorrow.

havent a clue what to look for, mates old mk1 gti was fine apart from rust on the backpanel?

anyhelp? mintyfresh?

as said rust everywhere, mechanical is cheap to fix if anything is wrong.

rust main areas are;

Boot floor, battery trays, bulkhead, inner wheel arches, out wheel arches (especially rear) back panel, lower inner quaters on cabbys, front panel, chassi legs, lower doors, around front windscreen.

also roofs can leak quite bad.

Basically everywhere.

So check for rust and no hes called mark.. parts quiet easy to pick up graeme?

Only info is hes a breaker and has 3 mk1cabbys between 4-700. Seems a decent lad so far thoughp

sounds cheap but could be ok. least you can try get the good parts from all 3, just go for the one with the most solid body i would say.

Well theres a few good breakers around here aslong as the shells ok. Thet the 1.8 engine same as gtis had?

not sure but i dont think so. can easily put a gti engine in though, either 1.6 or 1.8.

They wherent rusty much.. just dented and generally dogs. Replacing the small bits would cost the same as the car
