as above was wondering will the 1.4 8v sri throttle body fit onto the 1.2 8v and would it make any difference.

You won't get any gains from changing the throttle body. It will try and suck in more air but won't draw in more fuel so will do diddly squat.

tbh just because more fuel + more air = more power doesn't mean only putting more air in won't do anything. An induction kit would make a difference, if very little, and it's not upping the fuel. An enlarged throttle body would help in the same way.
