Yo!
In need of some HDMI advice here chaps!
I only have one HDMI port on my TV, however i now have SKY meaning my XBOX is currently unplugged!
As i am not the smallest of people, getting behind the TV to change the cables over every time i want to use the XBOX is abit of a pain in the arse!
I have been looking at HDMI splitters to solve this, however what is good?
I have found one from Amazon for around £7 (purely a cable) ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/HDMI-Splitter-Cable-Plug-Sockets/dp/B001IYEGQG ), yet have also found boxes, ( a little more expensive and require a power supply) ( http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/hdmi-splitters/?gclid=COW9-tOL06YCFcwmfAodaA2KKg ).
So my question is....what is best? Cheap cable or slightly more expensive box?

both will work, if you want the best possible output you want a proper AV receiver, they can take multiple hdmi inputs, and usualy have just one output, can be picked up pretty cheap on eaby.
if you're really tight, by the dedicated box rather than the cable

I got a box that doesn't require a power supply out of aldi for 12 quid, does the job and even has a remote.

Tbh as long as i can get a decent picture on the SKY and XBOX, then that is good enough for me. I dont mind spending money on someting that costs abit more and will last a good amount of time.
Is the AV receiver similar to the box ones on the link i posted? Or is it another bit of kit altogether (im not really up on y AV stuff)!

Yup - they will either work or they won't.

Saw they had some splitters (the boxed type) on offer in Tesco last night for about £7 IIRC
