For a few months now we've had letters coming to our address for a female, things like passport forms, job centre stuff and pension scheme forms.

The 'addressee' just turned up at my door asking for their mail

Pissed them off and told them they've all been returned to sender

Probably using dodgy details, given a dodgy address to cover up. Probably claiming benefits for about 5 people.

at my old house i got a hand delivered letter with £120+ in notes and coins posted through. didn't have a clue what it was so i kept hold of it til i was skint then i spent it. a few weeks later a guy came knocking on the door asking for it back so i told him i had no idea what he was on about. he must have got onto the police as they posted a letter asking me to contact them. i didn't bother and heard nothing more about it. jackpot!

I'd have called her in and said "let me just find them, you have a lot of mail" then go upstairs and call the police. her face would have been brilliant!

Until both of you are standing there looking like: because the police take half an hour to turn up.

Half an hour's being optomistic as well. Tell them she had a shotgun, they'll be there in a flash.
