i had this a few weeks back mate. was crying and just ended up sitting on the sofa all day.
ibuprofen and paracetamol 2 of each every 4 hours.
a+e will just tell you the same, saves you waiting there for hours.

I had this around a year ago.
Spontaneous pneumothorax
idiot terms, collapsed lung,
Not saying you have the same thing, but always worth going to get checked.
I ended up having it twice, then had an operation to sort the lining on my chest wall to stop it happening again.

As above! I can only assume from his post that it's in his chest.
I used to get a stabbing pain in my chest when I tried to breathe in sometimes, had to hold my breath, then take shallow breaths until it subsided. Similar age to you too, don't have it any more.

Best thing to do is to bang your shin on the end of the bed post.
Does fuck all for your chest, But takes your mind off it for a few minutes!
Works every time. Guarunteed!

If you ring nhs24 complaining of chest pain and an inability to breathe, they'll automatically send an ambulance. What sort of physique are you?

If I had a serious medical issue like that and I didn't know what it was, asking people on a fucking car forum would be the LAST THING I'd do.
If it's serious, ring NHS Direct or 999 if you think it may be life threatening.
If you are some attention seeking loser like some people on here who deem it necessary to fabricate stories in their lives because they are complete fucktards with nothing better to do, then fuck off.
This is a car forum - not a website staffed with qualified doctors on hand to answer people's urgent medical concerns.

On a more serious note, I was at the doctors once and said to them about heart pains - it was the sort of area of my chest that made it feel like it was my heart (on the chest as opposed to the sides) so thought I'd mention it. Basically the doctor kind of laughed at me and said it's nothing to worry about. Asked if I do any heavy lifting, strenuous work - answered yes and they've told me it's just down to a pulled muscle.
I bet the OP's going to be waiting in A&E to be seen then let rip a huge fart and relise that's all it was all along

It makes me laugh when people turn up to triage (I work in A&E) and they start off by saying "Well, Ive been on google and I think Ive got..."
NHS direct for any queries or advice on what to do.
