Saw DannyB post a link to this model on ebay, so i bought one, took about 2 weeks to arrive though.

have started to paint it.

this is him unpainted


i have 4 white and 4 black paints to pick from


first i painted his overalls in matt white, hard to see i guess as its already white, but helmet is unpainted


waited hour or so for paint to dry then did the helmet in a gloss white


now waiting for that to dry

the front of model is good, but the backs a little odd

i've not done the black bits as i want to find a decent pic of the real stig and check that i paint the right bits

There's no difference apart from his crash helmet looks shiny now

if you look at the helmet in the pic where its unpainted, thats how his overalls looked, kinda soapy.

Do you think i need to employ some advanced weathering techniques?

well mine is just shite now, looking at those above

painted the visor and cocked it up, am all over the place with the brush, so going to have to get the white paint out again and try and paint over some of the black

PS you can remove the paint with nail varnish remover
