What's a Bie?

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Im running Kenda small block 8s on mine, fast if a little noisey and great off road.

For a bonkers tyre check out schwalbe kojak, would be full on rapid just never use in the damp.

Will be fitting Continental sport contact or grand prix for the summer.

I run Paneracer XC Pro's. Grip well in mud and dirt and seem to roll fast on tarmac

I use Maxxis Ardent 2.25's. Had High Roller 2.35's before and these are so much faster rolling but still nearly as grippy. The treads at the edge aren't as big as on the High Rollers but I still find them really good to turn hard on.

Why a max of 2.1? I hate really thin tyres, cant throw the bike around as much.

Frame clearance. GT hardtail frames dont have a lot of clearance for a fat back tyre

Maybe try running a fat grippy tyre on the front and thin fast rolling tyre on the back

Im running maxies advantages atm and they seem good. Have had high rollers before. Were good but didint last 5 mins. Can be had in 2.1 though

Panaracer fire xc good but I found the profile a bit square

Continental mountain kings were a good all rounder too but didnt like the really muddy stuff much as they got a bit clogged

Drives supercharged Tec with torque
