I used to have a good old halfords special on my old 1.0 just to drown out that bloody 3 cylinder noise but now ive got 1.2 i was wondering if its worth getting a proper one? Like a k+n pan filter or somthing like that?
Does it really increase any power in a small engined car? Anyone recommend and good ones?
Let me know you knowledgeable people

I had a k and n one in my 1.2 mate and if anything it was slower, put the standard one back in and went like normal

Problem with cone filters is they are normally located IN the engine bay and thus they suck in hotter air.. Every 1 degree increase in inlet temperature roughly equates to about 1bhp loss in power.

And a "Cold air feed" is NOT the answer. Even a 1 litre engine sucks in thousands of litres of air every minute, which isnt going to go up that little shitty bit of pipe.
