Me and a mate are in Birmingham in september, looking for busy places to go out on a Thursday night. Preferably near the national indoor arena. Cheers for any info!

most of the bars are ok around the NIA, stick to Brindley Place and you will be ok. Just don't venture onto broad street

As said, if you're near the NIA go out and about Brindley Place. Mostly chain bars but it's nicely styled and it's a nice area by the canal Avoid Broad Street and Arcadian. They're pretty grotty.
