Is it possible to offer buyers something better than what they won for an extra bit of cash?
Got some old webcams selling on ebay at the moment. Someone has bid on a lesser spec'd model - can I offer them a better one for more cash?

Thats what I was thinking.
Just don't know if you can get a buyer to pay more than they're due to pay at the end of the auction.
ie. buyer wins something for £10. You offer them an upgrade for £5 meaning they owe you £15. Don't know if ebay lets you do that or not.

Can you not get away with mentioning in the listing that higher spec models are available - and to contact you for details?

Could have done, but don't suppose people would bother. These things are proper cheap anyway.
Nevermind, listing ended and buyer paid.

Well the buyer can request a total from the seller so if you message them beforehand and they agree, it can be done.
Not sure on the legalities though?

I bet eBay wouldn't like it as it affects their Final Value Fee.

just contact them before the end and see if they will then cancel the auction, then you wont have any fees to pay
