Hi mate,

Give it a good nose around. On the test drive listen out for any high pitched 'whirring' noises which could indicate wheel bearings or even gearbox/diff. Check coolant levels and look out for any leaks from the rad.

Remus system on the arctic is the precat-decat pipe and the rear silencer. Lots of people rate it and say it is the better one for the 'popping' sound. Lots of other makes as well Piper, Miltek, Bastuck etc.

Lots of helpful people on VXRO too.

Spot on, make sure you can get it right uP to 5th or 6th gear as they seem to be the ones where the whine starts.

If its out of warrenty go and get 2 years renewed from vauxhall it works out in your favour in parts / repair costs, in wheel bearings alone i have spent more than what i paid for cover
