I used to earn £24K as a Tesco bakery manager, what a fucking god awful job that was.

Now I take home much less but love my job, working what hours I choose with people who don't push you to the end of the earth every time the shelf goes empty.

To be fair produce manager is a pretty easy job, as for the hours well then I suppose it's how good you are at your job will dictate how many hours you need to work.

I earn closer to 40k working at a supermarket but am at work around 55 hours a week of which around 5 will be spent in the staff room. Not sure what other industry I could earn that in without re training? which isn't really an option for me now, and the food retail sector has the greatest job security I can think of.
