Hi guys, looking to get a decat.
ive noticed theyre quite cheap, £40 etc, are they worth it,what difference do they make, and where did you get yours from or shall i get one made?

Depends on the engine lol.
They generally make the car louder, Theres prob a couple of bhp gain, but not enough to notice, Although the noise will make it feel quicker lol

yeah i suppose it does, my corsas a 1.4 8v, but its made a hell of a different on my mates civic ep3!

I bought a piper one for my old Corsa.. made it a lot raspier and tbh didn't really notice any difference in performance - with an exhaust manifold and cat-back you should see better gains though

And you'll use alot more fuel as well , well I did with every car I got de catted 
Think it may because its louder you want to hear it more lol

Didn't really notice any difference in performance with mine. Sounds nicer though

i've got one on my MX5 and it improved fuel economy and makes a much nicer sound, particularly at the top end of the rev range...

Just remove the exhaust, cat and manifold and not only will you be shaving weight but it will sound nice.

On my 1.4 - made it flat up untill 3.5k. But sounded awesome after that. Very deep gumble.
Pulled harder top end but you loose low down so????

Made a fair difference on mine but mines a 2 1/2 system. So would free it up that little bit more.
