Nothing solid yet but I'm planning on doing a 2.0 8v conversion.
At the minute its a standard 1.0 12v engine.
I have an idea of what i'll need but just wanted to see if I'm missing anything:
2l 8v engine
5 speed box (not sure which one)
New driveshafts
2l brakes
1.6 fuel pump
Exhaust and manifold
Anything else I'm missing? Also what sort of budget should I be looking at
Will be my first conversion hence retardedness
Cheers

I would say a GSI rad too, not sure if its the same as the XE or LET swop but a 1.0 has a differant heater tank setup too....

Fuel pump can be left as the 1.0 item (Since its MPI anyway).
Drive shafts will need to be 22 spline jobbies from say a 1.6 sport/tigra, fitted with mk2 cav 1.6 inner cvs (Std outer ones). The inner cvs are about £80/100 a pair.
Box wise your be looking at F16, F20. The latter more expensive.
Your need a link up pipe for the exhaust or custom make. Your have a tricky time with wiring leaving the 12v dash loom, ideal to convert to sport loom but you could use the 12v loom, just a bit more work...
Your need a front conversion mount, and sometimes a spacer on the rear mount (if you have to use a spacer then you have to mod the linkage too).
Your also need to change to a 1.4 and up rad since the 12v outlets are on the same side. Header tank should be fine.
Prob more I've forgotten, Theres a guide in the "Tutorials & FAQ" section too.
Also search, Your find out points to note and stuff like that.
